Dogs and Pigs and Bears...Oh My!!
They had poodles dresses up in costumes and they were part of a magic act. The costumes were hysterical.
The bears were a little too close for my comfort, they were only being held by a leather leash...but the kids loved it!! They were about 20 feet away from us and the only thing between us was a railing. I kept doing a kid count to make sure that no one ventured down to the circus ring!! Also...apparently when you work with bears, you have to look like one (check out the two Grizzly Adams look alikes!)

Easter 2008
Here are the kids in their Easter outfits. It's not easy getting 5 kids to look in one direction! Lane is sleeping, but this shot was pretty good of everyone.
The Oglesby kids all matched and the girls even having matching dresses for their dolls. We were all fat and happy by the end of the night!

Easter Cupcakes
We made and decorated cupcakes for our Easter dinner. The kids had a great time putting sprinkles, colored coconut and candy on their cupcakes.
Here are our decorated cupcakes.
Kenyon just ate the decorations...

Kids say the darndest things...
My kids are always cracking me up...they amaze me at what they know and the things that come out of their mouths.
Kayton was having a pillow fight with my mom the other night and said to her "bring it on!!" and then to prove how tough she was she said "I eat nails for breakfast". Too much!
Kenyon has a pillow case with Cinderella on one side and Snow White on the other. Each naptime and at night she picks what side she wants...I always want her to choose Snow White because she calls her "Snow Wipe" :-)
Trey has not been feeling well for the last couple of days and has been running a high fever. The other day he was in the tub cooling off and asked me to get in the tub with him. He then preceded to ask me why I have two bums...one in the front and one in the back...you do the math!

Mason is here!!
Our family is growing bigger and bigger by the week. Mason Graham Oglesby was born to Rick (Doug's brother) and Lisa on March 8, 2008. He is 8 pounds 15.5 ounces and 20 3/4 inches long. He is welcomed by his parents and big brother Tanner. They live in Arizona...so it may be a may be a while, but we can't wait to meet him!!
The two year old checkup...
Kenyon had her 2 year old check up this week. She did really well. She was talking up a storm and was making the doctor laugh. She was giving the doctor the "sideway" glance that she is so good at.
She was 29 pounds 10 ounces (72%), Her head was 19 3/4 inches (a whopping 95%) and her length was 34 3/4 inches long (58%). The doctor said that she is about half the size now that she will be as an adult...that's about 5'8"!! I'm pretty sure she will be the BIG, little sister...Kayton at her age was measured to be about 5'4"!!

Kenyon gets bangs
Kenyon has crazy hair...it is very curly and somewhat unruly. She is not a huge fan of keeping barrettes and rubber bands in her hair. I decided to give her bangs this morning. She sat still long enough to cut them...in the world of a 2 year old...that is HUGE!
Her hair looks super cute and makes her look older.

My baby is a Lion!
Kayton and I went to Linglestown Elementary School yesterday for her Kindergarten registration. She met with the nurse, the counselor, a speech therapist and administration.
She got a star name tag necklace and each person she met with gave her a star sticker to put on her name tag. They took her picture for her school orientation.
They asked her all sorts of questions and she even chose to visit with the speech teacher alone. I was so proud of her, she did such a great job. I think I was more nervous than she was.
The counselor told her she was an Official Linglestown Lion...she got a stamp to prove it!

Ashley and I save the day!!
Ashley and I were coming back from visiting Jay, Jeri and Lane at the hospital when we spotted a fire at our friends office (Exit Realty). It was in one of those cigarette butt holders. You know the kind...it has a long, thin neck with a hole at the top to put the cigarette in and a large base.
Well, apparently the base had not been emptied in quite some time, there was smoke billowing out of it. Ashley dumped the entire contents of her diet soda into the base, but it just seemed to piss the fire off. It didn't slow the smoke down one bit.
Ashley called 911 and reported the fire and I called Cindy Armour-Helm to tell her we were rescuing her building.
Keep in mind that this was a small deal...no flames, just a ton of smoke. A minute later the fire chief showed up and then a minute after that...the fire truck came with about 10 firefighters!!
I found this whole thing very amusing and Cindy listened on the phone in amazement. I snapped a few pictures for her.
