Trey's Fourth Birthday Party

We had a firetruck come and the kids got to climb on the truck and get in the driver's seat. They also got to turn on the lights and explore all the gear that was on it! It was a BIG hit!
This is Trey taking his turn at the Spiderman Pinata.

Here is Trey blowing out the candles on his cake.

This is Trey with daddy and Uncle Dave dressed up in the fireman's gear.

Trey's Spiderman cake. Yum!
The only thing that could have made the party better was the weather...it poured all day long!!

Halloween fun at Hershey Park

October means buying Halloween costumes. When you have three kids, costume purchases can be expensive. This means that my kids are wearing their costumes as often as they can...I like to get at least 4 good wears out of them before they become dress up clothes!

Tonight was one of those costume wearing nights...we went to Hershey Park in the Dark. They open up the park and the rides and have a section where the kids can go trick or treating.

We went Trick or Treating first and then hit some rides. Kayton is a genie, Trey is a UPS man and Kenyon is Raggedy Ann.

Boo!

Kayton's trip to NYC

So, my parents...being the amazing Gammy and Pop that they are took Kayton to New York City for her 6th birthday. Gammy and Kayton took the train from Harrisburg and met Pop already in the city. They went to the American Girl store...and of course Cassie (Kayton's AG) went too!! Here they are at the American Girl store for breakfast.
Then the adventure took them to FAO Schwartz...
where Kayton got to play on the infamous huge piano.

Then...the best part...in my opinion was being at FAO Schwartz with David and Posh Beckham and their boys!!! The guy in the dark plaid shirt holding the boy is David!! YUM! My dad took this picture and couldn't get any closer due to the 8 foot, massive body guard that said "No more pictures"!
Then, as if that weren't enough for a 6 year old...they went to see The Little Mermaid on Broadway. This is Kayton in her fancy dress with her new shell purse and the streamers from the show!

Kayton came home all smiles with lots of stories, a newly coifed and pierced Cassie, lots of pictures and memories to last a lifetime!!

Trey wants to know when it's his turn!!!

The party was great fun...there was outdoor games, a bonfire, guitar hero and the Penn State game...what could be better?

Ashcombe's

We went to Ashcombe's last week when the kids didn't have school. We went along with two of my friends (Sarah and Kelly) and their kids and two other children...11 in all! It was a beautiful day and the kids were enjoying being out in the sunshine. Most of the activities were closed, but we prevailed and had a great time!

Say What???

This is how my poor baby has been for the last few days...he has been down for the count since Saturday morning and today is Wednesday. I thought by Tuesday he should have been on the mend...and when he wasn't, I took him to the doctor. His doctor gave him the diagnosis of Sinus Strep!!! Have you ever heard of such a thing??? I have not! I asked if it was contagious for his sisters sake and his doctor said "not unless he picks his nose and sticks in in someones eye"! Huh?
Anyhoo... Trey is on 2 medications and hopefully he will be better by tomorrow!

Mmmmm chocolate!

This is what you get when you give your kids chocolate ice cream.

The Master of all Razor Scooters!

Trey is incredible on the scooter. He zooms around the driveway and cul de sac like he was born with this thing attached to him! He gets a little daring trying to go down our VERY steep driveway. It makes us a nervous wreck, but he loves every minute of it!

Max's photo shoot

My dearest dog hates to have his picture taken. EVERY single picture I have of him is as he is barking and growling at me to stop!! This is the one an only picture I have of his face where is not barking. Once he sees the camera...it's all over. This was a sneak attack!
See what I mean!!

Like Father...like daughter!

Doug and Kenyon mowing the lawn.

Take a look at this monster

Look at my pretty toes and the shoes of death.

This is what happens when you wear platform flip flops and turn your ankle!!!

Aahhhhhhh!

Kenyon and mommy playing!

Maxi enjoying a dip

Max turned 12 this year...he was enjoying the swimming at Bohemia, but spent most of his time sleeping!!

Fishing on the Bohemia River

Kayton and her fish!!
Tessa, daddy and fish.
Kenyon grabbing a hold of her wiggly fish.
We went to Bohemia and all the kids enjoyed fishing...the fish were awfully hungry!!! Trey caught about 10 fish by himself!

Kayton turns 6!

I'm not sure when this happened, but Kayton grew up and turned 6. She is now in Kindergarten and is loving it! She takes the bus pretty much every day and is so grown up and independent...sometimes too independent!!! She had a birthday party at Olivia's Tea Room this year with 6 of her friends (Sarah, Hailey, Hannah, Isabella, Kara and Cora). It was too cute. They all got dressed up and brought their American Girl dolls and had a tea party. I unfortunately LOST all of the pictures from her party :-( !!!
I may be able to get some from my friend who was there with us...stay tuned.
Happy Birthday baby girl!!
