Almost Pierced

When Kayton turned 5 we told her she could get her ears pierced. She is now 5 1/2. Every once in a while she will come to me and ask what it feels like to have this done. I explain the procedure and she says...maybe when I am six!

The other day, Kayton came to me and said she wanted to get her ears pierced that day to surprise daddy. I took her to the mall. She picked out her earrings. She was sitting in the chair with the "piercing teddy bear" and got the dots with the pen. Then...she started to cry and said she was not doing this. We left. She said "maybe when I'm six".
